Reflection
Communication plays a big part in the educational system and even bigger in the classroom. Without good communication in a school system it is almost to get parents involved in their child’s education. Some of the traditional ways of communicating with parents include sending notes home, and making phone calls. Although these things are somewhat effective, there are new ways of communication. With the new generation improving in technology, communication between the staff/ faculty and parents can be better than before. While doing this lesson I found myself having fun while creating a newsletter. Being able to use my creative skills is what I enjoyed most. Even if I decided to use different methods such as creating an Audio CD, clip on a DVD, or even a webpage, it will be exciting and new for both the parents and me. When things are done the same way for years it tends to get boring. In the school setting teachers need to make sure that they refrain from that. We as educators have been blessed with a creative side that we have to put to use. Communication is the only way to maintain a healthy relationship between the teacher and the guardian.
